Back-up your Dynamik Skin

August 26, 2015 By Philip Gledhill

A Dynamik skin is a little bit like a WordPress theme. When you edit your Dynamik website, you’re really editing the active skin.

But the real beauty of skins is that you can easily make your own skins. You can then use these to protect your web design as you make more and more changes to your site.

To make your own skin go to… WordPress Dashboard → Genesis → Dynamik Design
Click the skins tab then type a name for your skin and click the Create and Activate button.

Don’t forget to back-up your Dynamik Skin by periodically changing it’s name and saving it.

There is also a Snapshot option to protect your design in a more short term limited way.

If you’re new to Dynamik Website Builder, it makes sense to make and save skins at various points as you design and change your site. Then if you make any design mistakes you can easily go back to a previous setting.

Please note! Skins and Snapshots backup your point and click design settings. NOT your content.
